Lime Paint Undercoat is the recommended preparation layer for most substrates ahead of St. Leo Lime Paint. It ensures strong adhesion and lets Lime Paint show its full colour depth, while evening out the substrate's absorbency for more efficient paint use.

Lime Paint Undercoat is highly breathable, formulated for easy application, and offers strong hiding power.

Application notes

Check the wall's absorbency before starting: for highly or unevenly absorbent substrates (fresh plaster, concrete, plasterboard, or heavily patched walls), apply Bio Micro Primer first, then Lime Paint Undercoat. For normally absorbent, well-prepared walls, Lime Paint Undercoat can be applied directly. Stir thoroughly before use, apply 1–2 coats with a roller or brush, and allow to dry fully before applying Lime Paint.
