Colour — with all its emotional, psychological, cultural, and aesthetic force — sits at the heart of Original Pigments. Developed over two years with the Copenhagen design studio All The Way To Paris, the collection began as hand-painted watercolour and gouache swatches. Its 100 colours are formulated from organic liquid pigments and the highest-grade titanium dioxide, in a water-based, solvent-free formula that pairs excellent coverage with low VOC — a healthier choice for the spaces we live in.

MILAN

Milan is a city of contrasts — the Gothic cathedral standing beside Postmodern architecture, the Art Deco elegance of Villa Necchi Campiglio alongside the vivid statements of Ettore Sottsass's Memphis Group. Ornate building entrances, trimmed in emerald, wine, and gold, catch the eye and lay bare a city's love of design.

The Milan colour series is built on the city's willingness to express itself — rich, bold, and carrying an unmistakably Italian confidence of taste.

Via Aurelia – Stone Beige
Similar to a classic natural stone, Via Aurelia shifts between beige and taupe, with a subtle light-brown undertone. Named for an ancient Roman road, it embodies the warmth and soul of the Italian coast, adapting beautifully to the changing light through the day.

Villa Borsani
A soft grey-blue, referencing the décor and blue accents of the 1940s Milan villa of the same name. Its balanced look comes from a subtle addition of red and black pigments — Villa Borsani exudes elegance, adding a touch of the extraordinary to a room.

Sempione
A gentle green, reminiscent of the pleasant landscape of Parco Sempione in central Milan. Oscillating between muted green and grey, it works in place of a classic neutral, adding a refreshing accent to any interior.

Villa Necchi
Evocative of Milan's Art Deco villas, like Villa Necchi Campiglio, this soft green gives a space a light, uplifting mood. A slightly grey undertone keeps Villa Necchi sophisticated and authentic, with a timeless quality.

Casa Crespi
A 1930s-inspired green with notes of sage over a grey base, versatile yet full of character. Designed to stand the test of time, Casa Crespi brings calm and a sense of nature into a room with its subdued green tone.

Via Tosi
A refreshing turquoise that enlivens any space. Rich and vivid, it recalls Mid-Century Milanese entryways, carrying a playful character — well suited to retail and hospitality spaces, or a dynamic corner of the home.

Ambrosiana
A charcoal grey with cool blue undertones, reminiscent of the façade details of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana. This mid-to-dark black brings depth and drama to a space, and can be used to create a compelling accent indoors.

Navigli
A dark teal green, referencing the colours of Milan's historic Navigli canals to the south of the city. Rich pigmentation gives Navigli its depth, while a near-equal blend of green and blue lends a transitory quality that plays with the light.

Via Pasquale
A tribute to Milan's opulent restaurant interiors. This bright yellow-orange casts walls and ceilings in warmth, shifting from earthy to gilded gold depending on the light — especially effective in retail and hospitality spaces.

Luce
A dusty pink that casts a room in warmth, carrying the same air of 1950s nostalgia as Bar Luce at Fondazione Prada — playful, youthful, with a slightly grey undertone that gives Luce a lasting elegance.

Treves
A tribute to the home of Memphis Milano on Largo Claudio Treves, this bright red brings enduring boldness and spirit into a room. Dark undertones ground its orange and red tones, while rich pigmentation gives the colour lasting impact.

Storico
A warm, light beige recalling sunshine washing over marble and limestone façades. A slightly yellow tint enlivens the surface — highly versatile, Storico is a classic choice for any interior, an elegant backdrop to the dynamics of daily life.

Via Cenami – Stone Grey
A medium-light grey, offering a classic, enduring canvas for any interior. Via Cenami borrows its name from a charming street in Lucca, Tuscany — a timeless colour, ideal for those seeking a pure approach to materials.

Lombardia
Lombardia encompasses the Alps, Lake Como, and the city of Milan. Like its landscape, this shade carries a light, silvery blue that exudes coolness and calm — applied indoors, it creates a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.

Via Lovanio – Charcoal
A sophisticated, rich grey with notes of graphite and charcoal, inspired by a Milanese street surrounded by some of the city's greatest classic and contemporary interior design destinations. It pairs well with off-white, and welcomes vibrant accents — from gold to rich blue and deep red.

ST. LEO × ALL THE WAY TO PARIS

To develop the 100 colours of Original Pigments, St. Leo invited the Copenhagen design studio All The Way To Paris to collaborate. Led by Tanja Vibe and Petra Olsson Gendt, the process began with hand-painted watercolour and gouache swatches — intuitive, organic, partly left to chance. Over two years, through close dialogue with the St. Leo team, hundreds of hand-painted samples were gradually narrowed and refined into a single spectrum of 100 colours spanning seven cities.

All The Way To Paris is a Copenhagen-based design studio founded by Tanja Vibe and Petra Olsson Gendt, known across the Nordic design world for its work in branding, print, typography, and spatial design, and for its deep understanding of colour.
